The truth is that you are not going to get an exotic car for cheap, unless you find an ad on Craigslist that reeks of scam. However, that does not mean that you have to give up the luxuries and make too many sacrifices in getting what you want. You won’t get the little emblem commonly associated with the Rolls Royce, but you can get the same basic amenities you pay an arm and a leg for with luxury cars.
- Luxury Car: 2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport – $2.25 Million
- Affordable Alternative: Nissan GT-R – It’s true. The Nissan GT-R has become more competitive than you might think in the world of sports cars. It is not going to break speed barriers quite like the Bugatti, but that does not mean that you cannot get some serious power with a 545 HP engine. The best part, if you are not a driving professional, this car is actually more feasible to handle than its more expensive cousin.
- Luxury Car: 2011 Aston Martin One-77- $1.87 Million
- Affordable Alternative: 2012 Jaguar XK – So not everyone can afford this one at $84,500, but that’s still a hell of a lot better than the luxury equivalent. This car has a similar shape and layout, and the engine is powerful. There is a certain elegance to this model that is hard to find, and with 550 HP, no one is complaining for lack of power.
- Luxury Car: McLaren MP4-12C – $229,000
- 2011 Lotus Evora – What’s not to love about the luxury car. The suicide batman doors alone are amazing, and unfortunately, the Lotus Evora does not have that feature. However, at $64,000, you could fulfill the dream of having a luxury car much more easily. It is amazing and explosively fast under the right circumstances. You get performance, style, and class, but you don’t have to feel like you are always in a race car.
- 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia- $225,325
- Lotus Exige – Yes, the Lotus has made its way right in between expensive luxury cars and moderate bargain cars. At just $65,690, most people don’t just keep this amount of cash around. However, with 240 HP, this one is howling. You get an amazing ear to ear sports car that really gives you that amazing Spartan cabin that gets you going.
- Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Roadster – $196,100
- 2012 Mercedes Benz SLK Class – $54,800 – We’ll admit, we’re not completely in love with either of these cars. However, you stay in the same brand name. You get a fully designed Mercedes in both cases, but you pay a lot less for this particular model. You still get the luxurious options provided by Mercedes, and the drive is pretty smooth.
